As it seems with Christianity today, so many have toed the line in past years that the line has all but disappeared.

As I was coming up, preachers kept us off the line by the Word of God. Somewhere though, watered-down, sugar-coated stories became the norm, and human boldness took over resembling an attitude of do as you think is right. The line became blurry. That blurriness is now but a bygone idea of the regretful.

We preach of a time to come that I’m afraid is already here. Social media has clouded judgments. People won't take care of themselves neither physically nor mentally. There is much disputing, families disrupted, sickness abounds, blatant disregard for authority, lies and deceit. turmoil, many others and not to mention, just plain old disrespect.

How did it happen? I think you know.

Believe me in this, brethren. The line is definite. Even if you won’t see it. Sin is the enemy of God. To live in it brings eternal separation. Paul says in Romans 8 that this is, “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.”

Well over 2000 years ago, God sent His Son put sin away. The apostle John’s letter says, “This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

So, this Christmas season, I pray that you take a step back. Let go of your sins that He might take them away. I see you bargaining with a few things now. Don’t make your eternity a matter of negotiation.

If you want things to change, choose Jesus. His terms. His rules.

Then, serve Him.

It’s the only way to put the line back.
