Today I got to thinking on those things that we’ll do as believers without considering whether it is pleasing to the Lord. It’s in that thinking that it dawned on me how seldom when in a place of pain or when something traumatic has occurred in our lives, we are capable of making a good decision.

In Galatians 6, we find out that the will of God cannot be circumvented. Nor can an all-knowing God be taken advantage of. We do try Him though, don’t we?

The Bible says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

If we are believers, then we know that it’s the things we do without God that get us in the most trouble. To be anointed in God’s grace does not mean that we have carte blanche to do as we please and when it blows up on us, we shouldn’t expect that God will rush in to right the wrong and soothe our fractured egos.

If He does, great. We just shouldn’t expect it.

If you take it upon yourself to do something outside the will of God for your life, be prepared to get yourself out of it.

Say do you believe that? Sure, I do. I also believe that if God leads you to it, He’ll lead you through it if you’ve placed your life in His hands.

There’s someone reading this who is about to make a decision that could potentially change the entire trajectory for their life.

Let me remind you that choices have consequences. Don’t get yourself into something that you can’t see your way out of.

Believer, take a few minutes to pray on it.

I think you’ll be glad that you did.
