You ever hear the expression “Just can’t catch a break?” I think it happens sometimes when we’re going through a trial and something else hits that we just didn’t see coming. It’s overwhelming and admittedly, causes us to wonder where God is within it all.
Everybody’s been there. It fascinates me the number of people who go to church and for that hour, look as if they’ve got it all together when the truth is they are a mess. But, at least in their mess, they know they can’t do it without Him.
And if you’re trying to do it on your own, I feel for you. A lot of the time that’s like trying to break an anvil with a rubber hammer. We all need Jesus.
The occasional kick in the shin is usually a wake up call that something needs our attention. The longer you ignore it, the harder it gets. If it’s yours, fix it and move on. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
The world doesn’t change and neither will we if we continue to be bathed in its effects. The Bible teaches us how to leave alone the things and the people over which we have no control that we might find a place of peace.
Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding. Whatever you’re dealing with today if it is beyond your ability to satisfy, give it to God as for most things, He’s the only one who can fix it anyway.
You’ve worked on it long enough. Give it to Him.
Blessings!!!!
