If you’re like me sometimes, it’s a struggle.

In our humanity, the trouble with trusting a promise is that we need to know how its maker is going to bring it to be. Did you know that the things that you’re praying for in faith are going to happen? You just may not see it happen. My grandmother prayed for my salvation even when she wasn’t sure she’d see it come. Still, she trusted God for it. Why? Because He said to train them up in the way they should go and they will not depart from it. God promised that if she did her part, He would do His. Kinda speaks to our example, doesn’t it?
When a friend makes a promise, they don’t always know how or when it will happen.
When God makes a promise, He’s already worked it out. There’s no one else that can do that. Too many limitations. We serve a God who suffers no limitations. His promises are future and eternal.
“'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. '”
For his future, God told an aging Abraham: “I will make your name great.” Then, proceeded to make Abraham the father of many nations.
For our eternity, God said: “Let us make man in our image!” He made us in His image so that He can bless us and have fellowship with us. This is a unique relationship that we can have with no other. To God be the glory.
Because of Jesus, we can trust that God has a plan for our lives that gives us hope for the future. Regardless our current situation, when God makes a promise, we don’t have to worry about how He works it out.
Just trust Him and live in it.
Have a great Saturday! And by the way, go to church tomorrow!
