I’ll warn you. This one’s kinda heavy!
Everywhere you go, there’s always one who because they can find no peace, they don’t want you to have it either.
The Bible tells us in 2 Thessalonians 3, “Beloved brothers and sisters, we instruct you, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to stay away from believers who are unruly and who stray from all that we have taught you.”
One writer says this verse shows that “…the failure in the mind was the way in which they failed to work for their own living, tending rather to take advantage of the generosity of others, so that they could act as busybodies in the church, snooping into things, engaging in carping open criticism, and generally being a nuisance.”
Wow! Told you it was heavy!
Idle minds are the biggest threat to Christian culture. An idle mind is dangerous sometimes bringing us to stir up things that are not there.
We’re a fickle bunch. Complaining about the time change. We do it every year and have done it for a while now. Then it seems as if every holiday anymore brings a debate over Trick or treating, Santa and the Easter Bunny.
I did all of this growing up. I don’t think it caused me to hurt anyone or take from them.
If anything it was the partying and carousing that was a bigger danger to me than anything else.
Really doesn’t matter to me how you choose to do it, just do it and leave everyone else out of it.
Be careful how you think. Then, be more careful how you share it.
