As I sat reading the comments on my post announcing the passing of my uncle, mentor, teacher, example, hero, and best friend, Terry Robinson, I realized that I was overwhelmed by emotion and how time consuming it would be to try and answer them all. Please don’t consider this a slight. I, we, love you all and found great comfort in your kind words.
To all of you who called, text, came by, or send expressions of care in our time of grief, thank you so much.
Terry Robinson was to me and our family, more than any word that could be used to describe the best person that you know.
Time passes quickly. Life does life. As I said yesterday, at times like this we wonder if we could have done more or made more time. The answer to that is no. People who love you know that you love them. They also know what life brings because they are living one too.
Anyway, please use today to reach out to those you care about and tell them what they mean to you. No apologies. No excuses. No regrets. Just let them know that you love them. Only takes a minute. I guarantee it’ll be a blessing to them that costs nothing
The Bible says, “And now I have a word for you who brashly announce, “Today—at the latest, tomorrow—we’re off to such and such a city for the year. We’re going to start a business and make a lot of money.” You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead, make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’re still alive, we’ll do this or that.”
This is the message for today and everyday. Don’t let the opportunity pass.
Thank you again. Hope your day is a blessed one…
In Jesus name,
