Why does it seem that living is so hard? It’s not as if we weren’t warned. Still, we move further from God. We become less dependent upon the Holy Spirt to guide us.

One of the reasons that I think that most the Christian world is trembling is due to its lack of flavor, (influence), which translates directly to a lack of favor. The Bible says in Matthew 5, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”

But take heart. The church is drawing closer to God. You may think that makes no sense. People are going to church less and less. That’s true. I’m not talking about them. I’m talking about those who are going more and more.

It’s being faithful that prepares us for the storms of life. Will you go through them? Yes, just like everyone else. It is the Spirit of God that makes a way when there seems no way.

Found myself in a storm last night. It was disruptive. It was violent for a time then as quickly as it came up, it was over. What I learned it that there will be another. And, another. And, another one after that. We’re not always sure what we will do when the lightening strikes. But we know it’s coming every time the thunder rolls. It’s a warning.

I like it when there’s a warning.

“He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

The thunder is rolling.

Are you listening to the warning?

Be blessed this day!
