Good morning!
Jeremiah 18:2-6, “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.
Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.”
Life isn't like a box of chocolates. I think you’ve probably heard that before. It's more like a block of clay. It has to be worked to become something. That means if you want it to be something, if you want it to be of value, you have to stay on the wheel. Whether in the physical or especially, the spiritual, as long as the clay is on the wheel, the potter will work it until it seems good to Him.
If you want to be a better man or woman, you've got to stay on the wheel. If you want to be a better parent, stay on the wheel. If you want to be a better spouse, you've got to stay on the wheel. A better friend, a better servant, a better singer, a better teacher, a better son, a better daughter… you’ve got to stay on the wheel. Never get off and never give up.
That crushing that you feel on occasion is just the Potter manipulating the clay. Maybe He doesn’t like the form you’re taking. The crushing is temporary. You’ve got to stay on the wheel. He wants you perfected. Without flaw, crack or weakness.
Success isn't found in how many times we're knocked down but in WHAT we are when we get back up. Getting up should be the start of something better.
Don't tell God what YOU want to be. Be faithful to Him and He'll make you what you NEED to be.
Have a great week! Get in the Word and please know that come what may, someone loves you and someone is praying for you!
Just stay on the wheel!!
