On Monday, May 26th as Americans, we should bow in thanks to Almighty God with gratitude and the respect owed, for those men and women of the United States military who fought and died for the freedoms we enjoy today.

I stand in awe of the real Captain America. The patriot, who with selfish determination and often times with a still child-like appearance of youth, stepped out into the unknown. Having said goodbye for the last time to moms and dads, brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors who until their last breath, stood and will stand a little taller and prouder knowing that their pride and joy gave their life in the defense of our country against tyranny and injustice.

We have long known in the history of our great nation that in order to succeed risk must be taken. Certainly, those in the American military have weighed that same risk. And, they died for it. So, there will be tears of remembrance shed on Monday as it is because of the sacrifice of many that we have greater opportunities today than ever before.

This is still the home of the brave and the land of the free.

So, this Memorial Day as you celebrate the freedoms fought for and the lives lost, remember The American Soldier solemnly and reverently for they fought with bravery and they died a hero.

God bless the United States military.

God bless America.
