I saw this on a joke page today. I’m sure the perspective that I took, its author didn’t intend. What if Jesus was saying this to me? Wonder how I would feel about it?
Not a one of us appears to others as we see ourselves. Even in our spiritual lives, I think we feel that we are more secure than maybe we are. I mean if we are truly that sure, why is there so much uncertainty? So much tragedy in Christian homes. Is it because too many believers have become lukewarm? If we don’t spend time with the Word, in the Word, and where the Word is being preached, how can we know how or if, we are truly living for Him?
I’m not being prophetic this morning. The Bible has called today what it is. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1Peter 4:17
I’m not sure how that sits with most folks. I like it because of the accountability. Too many today claim Jesus but choose not to be around Jesus people. Can I tell you? That’s your blur.
I want to tell you something that took a minute for me to learn. Your life does not have to be a blur or filled with gray area. If you are living for Jesus, this is the day to take hold of His promises and live the life that He prescribes for you in His holy word.
Then and only then will your vision begin to clear. Might help others to see you more clearly too.
God bless you.
Jesus loves you.
And, so do I.
