Best story I’ve heard today. Not mine. Wish it was.
Y’all will probably hear it so this won’t be perfect but the gist of it is this.
Mama’s are smart. Boy told his mama that he wasn’t going back down there to that church anymore.
When mama asked why, he said somebody had made him mad and they was a bunch of hypocrites down there anyway.
Mama said don’t go back down there then. Boy said I’m not.
Mama said but can I tell you something about them hypocrites? Boy said yeah. She told him those hypocrites are closer to the Lord than you are. He said why do you say that.
She said, “Because they’re standing between you and Him!”
Amen!
Mama’s, keep leading your children to Jesus. Even when they are being hardheaded and full of themselves, keep telling them.
Daddy’s, same goes for you.
Y’all be an example to them. Show them that you’ll not let anything nor anybody stand between you and the One who gave you life.
Every picture we ever see of the Christian depicts fearlessness, boldness and strength. And we are that, no doubt. Comes from the power of God. We have to show them that.
Until, of course, we need to be nurturing, loving and caring. That also, comes from the Lord. We’ve got to show them that, too.
John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
It all comes from Him. Let nothing stand between you and the Lord.
